Ami Paris has unveiled its holiday campaign, Ami d’Hiver, starring none other than French screen icon Catherine Deneuve.

Deneuve rose to stardom with The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) and went on to star in Belle de Jour, The Last Metro, Indochine and 8 Women. Indochine earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, and in 2013 she received the European Film Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Long a style icon, and famously Yves Saint Laurent’s muse, she now lends that legacy to Ami.

Launched November 4, the collection and its campaign are set on Place des Victoires, the square where Ami has its headquarters and now “welcomes friends into its new Paris boutique.” The season draws on the joy of the holidays: community, friendship, kindness and everything in between. The colors and clothes play best supporting actress to Deneuve.

Directed by Loïc Prigent, the campaign captures scenes of holiday shopping, with Deneuve bringing ease, humor, happiness and elegance to the story. “Ami’s values are universal: kindness, brotherhood, friendship of course, love—everything good that we offer one another, everything Ami stands for,” said founder and creative director Alexandre Mattiussi.

The “cozy yet urban” collection showcases coats, knits, inspired layers and thoughtful accessories. According to the brand, “yellow sweaters nod to a memory of Alexandre Mattiussi on his first day of school.” “The red beanie, which he has worn since childhood, becomes a recurring signature across the season. With the kids’ line, Ami d’Hiver extends to the whole family, back to where it all starts: the very first friendships.”
