11 Pairs of Jeans You Need

Apple bottom jeans, but without the boots with the fur.

There’s no better way to flaunt your behind than with a good pair of jeans. With school approaching and spending this past year in sweatpants, it’s time to amplify our closets with jeans that are both fashion-forward and comfortable. I, myself, took advantage of wearing pajama bottoms during my online classes, but am now looking forward to dressing up as we head back to school in-person.

No matter if it is low-rise or flared, I’ve continuously added multiple pairs of jeans to my shopping cart so I can (Hopefully!) be on trend. Here are 11 pairs of jeans I’ve had my eye on, and that you’ll most likely be adding to your wardrobe too.

Agolde Criss Cross Upsized Jean in Suburbia – $188

Courtesy of Agolde

It is no wonder these bottoms are hardly available on the brand’s site. Agolde turns your standard denim into its own abstract piece, with criss-cross detailing at the front that instantly catches your eye. Meant to be oversized, wearing these will make you feel as though you’re back in the 90s. But if you want a slimmer fit, sizing down is key.

Acne Studios Relaxed Fit Jeans in Sand Beige – $310

Courtesy of Acne Studios

These are the kind of jeans I picture Bella Hadid wearing with a y2k inspired top and oversized bomber jacket. Made from rigid denim, this jean is relaxed fitting with a tapered leg and is pretty high-rise. Its faded beige tone gives a vintage feel, and is perfect to add to your closet if you want a change to your standard blue denim that isn’t too drastic.

Levi’s 501® Original Fit Women’s Jeans – $90

Courtesy of Levi’s

You cannot have a jean round-up without mentioning the Levi’s 501. If you want a pair that will last you for years, these jeans have remained a fan-favorite since they were first invented in 1873 because of their durability. Available in seven different shades of blue, the relaxed fit makes it easy to wear with a vintage tee and your favorite tennis shoes.

Citizens of Humanity Annina Trouser Jean In Blue Rose – $238

Courtesy of Citizens of Humanity

If you couldn’t tell already, I am really into loose-fit jeans. The Annina Trouser is meant to be super relaxed and slightly baggy at the bottom. In a way, it reminds me of something a 90s supermodel would wear with a cropped top. And since the 90s are a major inspiration for fashion at the moment, these are definitely a must.

GRLFRND Bella Low Rise Boyfriend – $225

Courtesy of Revolve

The Bella jeans were inspired by 2000s fashion, which can be seen from its relaxed and low-rise fit. It’s also gently faded and distressed along the hips and legs, giving the bottoms a cool yet chic look. The brand’s logo is noticeably stamped on the back, so everyone knows that you’re not wearing your boyfriend’s jeans, but your GRLFRND’s.

Reformation Newsprint High Rise Straight Long Jeans – $188

Courtesy of Reformation

Anyone who says they don’t enjoy a graphic print is lying to you. Seen on the likes of Kaia Gerber and Kendall Jenner, the comic print on these jeans will go with any pop of color or even a simple black top. They are slim fitting around the hips and butt, and relaxed around the leg. These are definitely a pair of jeans you want to stand out in.

RE/DONE 70s Bootcut – $250

Courtesy of FWRD

Reminiscent of the 70s, just as the name suggests. Looking at these makes you want to purchase a suede vest and rock out to Fleetwood Mac. We love that the jean has a long inseam and is high-waisted, which helps to elongate the legs and enhance the waist. Its worn and slightly faded look will pair nicely with a leather brown boot.

Saint Laurent Black 90s High-Rise Bootcut Jeans – $790

Courtesy of Ssense

A black pair of jeans is a staple everyone needs in their closet. With fall approaching, black matches well with darker shades such as brown and khaki. Saint Laurent’s 90s High-Rise Bootcut Jeans are non-stretch so that it shapes to your body without expanding overtime, plus is flared and high-rise. And in YSL fashion, the logo is engraved on the bronze-tone buttons.

Isabel Marant Dipadela Jeans in White – $520

Courtesy of Isabel Marant

Even though I am extra cautious when wearing white jeans, they always seem to compliment every outfit. These jeans are exactly that, but are also cropped at the ankle to show-off your favorite heels or boots. Since they are a regular, straight fit throughout, it is best to stick with your standard size, or size-up if you want it to be somewhat oversized.

Khaite The Raquel Jean in Raw – $340

Courtesy of Khaite

What stands out most on these Khaite jeans is not just the marigold stitching, but also the round patch pockets that sit at the front. The style plays homage to Los Angeles fashion in the 70s, and is meant to be slim-fitting to lift the bum and accentuate curves. They are selling at fast, so make sure to get yourself a pair as soon as possible.

Lois Jeans Trumpet-V Split – $199.95

Courtesy of Lois Jeans

In collaboration with V, Lois has created a wide selection of denim that is inspired by our favorite styles. The Trumpet-V Split, in particular, is a twist to your typical boot cut, with a slim fit and split at the bottom. It can be worn cuffed, or you can leave as is for a little edge. Like our other styles, Trumpet-V Split is meant to last, plus is sustainable and has a vintage vibe.
