Last night's 60th Grammy Awards show (wow that's a lot) was one for the books. Performances from the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna, V111 cover star Sam Smith. and 2017 breakthrough artist SZA made for some of the best onstage moments we've seen all year. Kendrick Lamar, who took home awards for five out of his seven nominations, opened the broadcast with a live medley of his work, featuring backup dancers in hoodies who dropped after the sounds of gunfire.

But Lamar wasn't the only one who used the night to make a statement. Kesha had what many are referring to as the "#TimesUp moment of the night," performing "Praying" alongside Bebe Rexha, Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Andra Day, and Julia Michaels. Hilary Clinton had a surprise cameo joining Cher and other celebrities for a reading of the book that infuriated Donald Trump, Fire and Fury.

Bruno Mars wound up being the MVP of the night, winning a total of six Grammys including Record of the Year and Album of the Year for 24K Magic. Alessia Cara was named Best New Artist, using her acceptance speech to encourage all of the other young artists in the industry who are fighting the good fight to break through.

Check out our favorite moments from last night's show in the gallery, below.

Lady Gaga played "Joanne" and "Million Reasons" alongside producer and DJ Mark Ronson.
