- Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary
Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the only natural escapes in Dubai. “Currently, access is free and open to the public. So, it’s a great way to explore Dubai’s natural offerings without breaking your travel budget,” said Yasin. Ras Al Khor Wildlife sanctuary attracts different species of migrating birds. But it is also known for its resident dwellers. Therefore, no matter when you go, you’re sure to have your breath taken away. According to Yasin, one of the sanctuary’s most notable attractions is the hundreds of flamingos who call the land their home.
- Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding
“The United Arab Emirates is a diverse land rich in culture,” said Yasin. “And Dubai is no exception.” Therefore, the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding was created. The SMCCU does its best to educate residents about where they live through walking tours, shared meals, and other activities. And according to Yasin, visitors are welcome too! “If you want to expand your knowledge about the place you are visiting, SMCCU is the right choice,” he said.
- Al Bastakiya
Al Bastakiya is the oldest established living quarter in Dubai. Also known as the Al Fahidi neighborhood, Al Bastakiya was established at the end of the nineteenth century by traders. “The truth is, Dubai’s urban veneer is a recent development,” said Yasin. “Walking through Al Bastakiya, you can get a glimpse of what Dubai was like before it was drastically modernized,” Yasin recommends perusing the neighborhood’s galleries and eateries or simply strolling through and taking in the sights.
- Aventura Mushrif Park
Aventura Mushrif Park is Dubai’s best adventure park. The park’s massive landscape is filled with intense obstacle courses and ziplines. There are even activities designed for team building and bonding. But you don’t have to come here with your office mates, says Yasin. “This is a great vacation destination if you want to get your adrenaline pumping.”
- Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
At first, you may wonder what makes Dubai’s aquarium so special. “What makes this aquarium a must-see is the unique features available to guests,” said Yasin. “The aquarium’s use of virtual reality allows you to feel as though you are actually swimming with marine life.” It’s true, in addition to having an extensive live creature inventory, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo uses VR to take guests on unique aqua adventures.
