Whether you’re looking for décor inspiration for your home or just fantasizing about your dream home, there’s no better place to do this than from the homes of the famous. Celebrities like taking things to the next level and their homes are not spared from the extravagance. From bowling alleys to waterparks and cinemas, they definitely spare no money when it comes to designing their homes.

Annetta Powell, a real estate expert and entrepreneur, has a list of homes that she considers some of the most magnificent in Hollywood.

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba and her family moved into this scenic house, which she calls their dream home, less than two years ago. The back of the house features a folding glass wall that opens up to the expansive backyard that has a kids’ playset. A huge backyard was something that Alba was looking for when house-hunting, as she wanted enough space for her children to play in. True to her beliefs in organically produced and safe products, the house is filled with organic materials, hemp textures, natural fibers and fabrics, and reclaimed wood.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

The Game of Thrones star’s home in the Hollywood Hills is a simple and minimalistic one that represents his personality. While the exterior of the house is very Californian, Coster-Waldau wanted a Danish touch in the inside of the home and hired two Scandinavian interior designers to bring the simple but stylish feel of his homeland to the house. The home features a backyard and a garden on a hill with a view that, together with the pool, were what convinced him to buy the house.

Demi Lovato

The singer sold her mountain-top mansion earlier this year and moved into a stylish modern farmhouse home in Studio City. The 8,500 square feet home has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms on a 0.37-acre lot. Her home packs all the luxurious amenities expected in such a leafy part of Los Angeles, such as a soundproof home theater, an elevator, a sparkling pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen fully equipped for barbeques, and an underground garage.

Shonda Rhimes

Rhimes, the writer of the hit television shows Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy, lives in a mid-century styled house in Los Angeles that she initially thought was ugly before buying it and redecorating it to suit her style. The house, built in the 1920s, features a swimming pool with an outdoor living room next to it in the garden, one that is perfect for the hot Los Angeles summers.

Ryan Seacrest

Ryan Seacrest’s 9,200 square feet Beverly Hills home sits on 2.87 acres, with two guest houses and a separate 3-bedroom house in the same compound. Surrounded by trees for privacy, the property features a rectangular lap pool, two levels of gardens, and a pond. Ryan bought the home from Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia and redecorated it to add his own personal touch to it.
