7 NYC Pride Parties That Need Your Attention

With World Pride in NYC, there are plenty of parties. These are the ones you need to look out for.

This is a big year for the LGBTQ community, especially in New York City. It’s been 50 years since the Stonewall Riots and the start of Pride. This year, NYC Pride is also lucky enough to have the rare designation of World Pride. Thousands of people are expected to head to the mecca of this Pride season and with that, come many parties to entertain them. Pride is about celebrating anyway, right? Through the multitude of events, here are the seven we think you should be looking out for in NYC this weekend.

Horse Meat Disco

It’s back! If you love dancing, music and intimacy, this is the place for you.

Details: Knockdown Center (52-19 Flushing Ave, Queens, NY 11378), June 28th, 10pm-5am. Resale tickets here.

Devil’s Playground

In the newly reopened Webster Hall, you can find three floors of drag queens, DJs and live shows all night.

Pride Island (“Pier Dance”)

Of all the pride parties, this one stands out. It’s been sold out for a while, but if you can get your hands on a ticket, it’ll be well worth it. You’ll get the chance to see Grace Jones, Kim Petras and the legendary Madonna (among many others).

Proud

A dance floor where every one can be loud, proud and queer as hell. Dive into the gender blender, express yourself as you want and dance the night away.

LadyLand (Day 1 + 2)

Lady Fag strikes again! It’s the second coming of the LadyLand Festival and this time it’s not one day, but two. Literally a line up of all your favorite queer music and performers.
