A-COLD-WALL* Releases Second Collaboration Crafted by Mackintosh

Take two! A-COLD-WALL* and Mackintosh release second collaboration.

Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL* unveiled their second collaboration with Mackintosh, the British brand known for their raincoats. The capsule collection will feature a range of technical garments that build upon the concepts and silhouettes created in the pair’s first collaboration, which was released last August.

The collection, which was created for Spring/Summer 2022, focuses on spring-appropriate layers, this time crafted out of Mackintosh’s flagship RAINTEC fabric. RAINTEC is manufactured in the UK, and preforms as a contemporary upgrade to the brand’s signature cotton. It’s made of performance membrane, meaning it is both waterproof and windproof.

Items in the collection include a classic mac silhouette single-breasted raincoat, which comes with a wrap front, concealed buttons, and chest patch with dual-branded insignia. Another item is a less formal waist-length pullover kagoo, made of RAINTEC and featuring a “cocoon-like” hood and gusseted neck opening. The final item is a structured coach jacket, which has a shirt collar and a panelled finish.

The patterns draw upon signature ACW* codes, with line references and geometry shaping the collections panelled finish. The products offered come in contrasting colorways of black and slate grey or reef green and slate grey, with colors converging as the panels intersect.
