A New DNA Coding for Dior’s Iconic Lady Dior Bag

Dior embarks on a fresh and modern take of the classic Lady Dior bag.
Dior begins anew for one of its most timeless icons: the Lady Dior bag. In a campaign captured by photographer David Sims, ambassadors Mia Goth, Greta Lee, and Mikey Madison embody the spirit of reinvention at the Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry. Bathed in natural light, both garden and interior settings echo the 18th-century French reference that inspired Jonathan Anderson’s first designs for the House.

The images are intimate, instinctive, and stripped of artifice; the three actors move with spontaneity, their presence lending contemporary fringe to a piece soaked in history. The Lady Dior, long synonymous with gentility, finds space in a new energy; a renaissance moment where tradition is challenged by modernity.

For Anderson, the campaign underscores the power of the bag itself. “The Lady Dior is one of the most iconic bags in history,” he notes. “I love that when you pair it with someone like Mia, Greta, or Mikey, it suddenly becomes something new.”

The collection brings a bright but soft yellow, deep and crisp green, powder pink and blue, mellow grey, and classic black. Some of the bags are adorned with croc leather or tiny leather flowers, adding texture and youthfulness to a traditionally basic DNA coding. This latest vision reaffirms the Lady Dior as more than an accessory, rather an emblem of creativity and adaptability.
