A.P.C collaborates with Catherine Deneuve for 7th Interaction

The collaboration revolves around two main silhouettes: a dark navy wool suit and a khaki jacket and skirt ensemble.

This fall, Atelier de Production et de Création (A.P.C) launches their 7th Interaction featuring pieces crafted by designer Catherine Deneuve. For this collaboration, the brand has decided to step back and let Deneuve do all the magic. Giving her total creative freedom and access to A.P.C’s workshop and fabrics, she expresses her vision of chic, touched with a whimsical element.

“Mutual trust and a shared love for the unsaid, as well as excess, made it possible for us to interact and create a little world of new heroines who have never been seen before,” says Jean Touitou, founder of A.P.C.

The brand also announced their collaboration with Catherine Deneuve via an Instagram post saying “A.P.C. is very proud to announce its 7th Interaction, in collaboration with Catherine Deneuve”.

Two pieces take most of the stage for 7th Interaction: a dark navy wool suit and a khaki jacket and skirt ensemble. From there, Deneuve produced other interesting pieces to compliment the sets, such as a white shirt with red polka dots or a dark green paisley print blouse. There’s also a striped sweater and a choice of two T-shirts which represent animals in Catherine Deneuve’s life. The animals on the print were drawn by Mathias Augustyniak from M/M Paris, and can also be found on Deneuve’s rendition of a silk scarf.

Also adding to the mix are accessories, which include golden sandals and green faux snakeskin mid-heel pumps. The Interaction also offers two bags, a wallet and a scented candle called “Fabienne” in honor of Catherine Deneuve’s middle name.

The French label previously launched their 6th ‘Interaction’ which featured a collaboration with lifestyle brand Goop founded by American actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Before that, the brand teamed up with rapper Kid Kudi, art collective Brain Dead, and stylist Suzanne Koller.
