In what used to serve as cavalry barracks during the Napoleonic era, the historical Cortile della Seta, “Silk Courtyard”, hosts the Milan headquarters of Loro Piana as well as the backdrop for the Fall/Winter 2026-2027 presentation. Titled “Nomadic Reverie”, the show is a journey in its own right, creating an experiential collection.

With walls covered in a paisley print, the setting immediately transports one to the world contained within this collection. The effect is a dreamscape, allowing one to indulge in reverie, pleasantly content within one’s own mind. After entering, a collection of poems greets guests, bearing the theme of seasonal change, leaves falling lightly and temperatures introducing a slight chill. Before stepping into the main room, guests pass through a passageway made of mahogany and brushed brass, a train carriage of sorts.

Instead of a typical runway, this collection is presented upon mannequins and modules, inducing a reverent appreciation for each piece. Through advanced technique, the motif was printed upon cashmere and other fabrics, a reminder of the dedication to craft that the brand has always possessed. Paisley print first appeared more than 2,000 years ago, appearing in Europe during the 18th century. The traditional print has been a part of the Maison’s story since the 1960s, inspiring the design of other motifs.

The styling of the collection is adjacent to hurriedly jotted down love notes, done with tender precision but an authentic imperfection. This imperfection adds to the believability of the collection, a true invitation to exploration and travel. The breadth of texture reinforces this idea of expertise: tweed, chenille, silk, cashmere. As well as the colors: rose, gold, anthracite, midnight blue, and coral.

The fluidity is incredible, styling coming together to merge juxtaposing colors or reunite monochromatic partners. The silhouettes play a forward role, distinctly Loro Piana, while being fresh faced and new.
Knitwear appears as another element distinct to the fashion house, along with bombers, dusters, and blazers, each bearing a unique character. The eveningwear has the confidence to bring home the collection along with stunning jewellery and buttery leather bags.
The character of the Loro Piana man is similarly constructed, with a fluidity between settings that easily carries the wearer from formal to casual.

The collection is a love letter in its own regard, to the paisley printed history of Loro Piana. It carries an expertise that can only be acquired through decades of crafting and holds an expansive imagination. The dream of this collection is one of travel, but also one of coming home. Coming home to the roots of Loro Piana, an ode to the Maison.
