This fashion month proved a few ideas and choices will be indeed begin pushing sneakers and streetwear out the door this coming spring/summer season. A refreshing and thoughtful movement, this ready-to-wear month decided that strength will once again arrive in style and with a bold voice backing it up. For Miu Miu, Miuccia Prada looks back to the '50s and '60s, finding an array of modern attitude, subtle punk, and the perfect lengths for ever the Miu Miu girl.

Feeling thrifty but in a luxury kind of way, Miuccia crafts a lineup of dresses, skirts, rompers, and jackets that all scream the specific sound when you find pure gold from the years of old on a rack or in the window at a vintage store. Hitting either right below or above the knee, Miuccia thoughtfully considers where and how each of the garments fall, choosing fabrics that move and catch light to flatter each detail and seam.

A youthful Kaia Gerber, made-up with chunky layered long locks, stands out among her peers rocking a very short romper and sheer stockings, a classic staple look that Miuccia is successfully reviving for a new generation of voices who happen to have legs for days.

Considered a relief for the fashion industry at large, ready-to-wear has finally stepped up to the plate and is ready to make stylish statements a thing again. For those lucky enough to snag pieces from this Miu Miu runway, the investment into the life and craftsmanship of these garments will out live any trend or momentary must-have. For that, we endlessly continue to thank you, Miuccia Prada.
