A Virtual Zoey 101 Reunion Is Coming!
The virtual event will see Jamie Lynn Spears, Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Chris Massey and Erin Sander along with a cast of social media stars and TikTokers.
Hey, Stingrays! The rumors are true. A long awaited reunion between the cast of the hit TV show ‘Zoey 101’ is coming to the internet. Jamie Lynn Spears announced plans for a reunion via Instagram earlier this week. It will feature appearances from some of the show’s main stars including Jamie Lynn Spears, Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Chris Massey and Erin Sander.
Also added into the mix are social media influencers and TikTok stars, including Chantel Jeffries, JoJo Siwa, Loren Gray, Dixie D’Amelio,Harry Jowsey (Too Hot to Handle) and more. ‘Zoey 101’ co-stars Victoria Justice and Kristin Herrera, who played Lola Martinez and Dana Cruz on the teen drama do not appear in the promo for the event.
The final episode for ‘Zoey 101’ aired approximately 12 years ago and ended in a giant cliffhanger that left many of the show’s fans wondering what was buried inside the time capsule. Flash forward to 2015, ten years after the season 2 episode, “Time Capsule” aired, fans finally learned what Zoey said about Chase via a dvd. The follow up video also ended with an ambiguous “to be continued…?”.
The mystery continued to unfold this past May in a Chicks In the Office podcast, where Spears revealed that she was interested in developing a revival and that discussions had already been underway, but nothing was official. Prior to this upcoming event, the cast mates also reunited on the television show All That in an attempt to “test the waters” for a potential reboot. There is still no official word regarding the reboot.
The one-time global live stream event titled, “The Follow Me (Zoey 101) Experience – The Legacy Continues,” will feature a VIP premiere experience where fans will get to “take a peek inside the time capsule where iconic worlds collide”.
In anticipation of the upcoming event, Spears will drop a reimagined version of the series’ theme song, “Follow Me (Zoey 101)” on October 22nd. The original theme song was created in collaboration with her sister, Britney Spears along with producer and DJ Chantel Jeffries. According to Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky) the reason we do not get to see the complete cast in the accompanying music video is because the missing cast members were unable to make it to the sole shooting day.
