In early 2025, A$AP Rocky was named the first-ever Creative Director of Ray-Ban. In a season full of changes, this new appointment felt grounded yet radical. Their latest release feels just like that. Combining Ray-Ban’s timeless takes with Rocky’s bold and innovative style, the newest collection is a study in brand history, with innovation still kept in mind.

The new collection redefines eyewear as something less about accessories and more about performance. The silhouettes command attention, and at its core is the Wayfarer Puffer Crystal Edition. It’s the historic silhouette of the iconic Wayfarer, blown up in proportions, with thicker frames, lenses, and arms. On top of this oversized design, the Ray-Ban logo is also larger, adorned with crystals.A design both minimal and over the top.

If losing the minimal design altogether is of interest, the Wayfarer Puffer Crystal Pavé Edition features all the same silhouettes and sizes but is instead fully covered in pavé crystals—just about everything but the lenses. It’s definitely over the top, but it’s an unapologetic celebration of the brand.

Rounding out the collection is the Wayfarer Puffer Diamond Edition. Although tamer in design, it features the same oversized effect but this time includes 1.65 carats of ethically sourced, hand-set natural diamonds in place of the iconic Ray-Ban rivets. Framed in 14k gold, the frames elevate the brand from a traditional sunglasses retailer into the realm of high jewelry, a mix of craftsmanship and cultural capital.

In Rocky’s hands, Ray-Ban continues to push forward. For a brand with so much heritage and history, this newest collection shows its commitment to innovation. It’s a bold-faced reminder that style doesn’t imitate, it reinvents.
