Morrocan-born/NYC-raised singer, Abir, just dropped the music video for the single Tango. In October of last year, Abir released her debut EP Mint, that is currently available on all streaming services. Tango is the third track out of the six on the EP to be accompanied by visuals, with the others being Finest Hour featuring Cash Cash and Young & Rude. Both of which received positive acclaim and attention. Billboard named Abir as one of the “most exciting new voices” coming up in the industry in 2018. In fact, the singer has even built a commendable online following with 34.9k followers on Instagram.

On Tango, Abir sings “I’m sorry I can’t answer, I’m busy dancing on my own. It takes two to Tango but only one to let go.” It’s more than a song about self-love; it’s a song about enjoying one’s company. And she shows us how in the video, that follows her effortless swaying to the song as she’s surrounded by citrus fruit, eating pancakes and bathing in a tub of jewels. Abir is here to tell us that when alone the possibilities are endless, as are the pancakes.
