About Time: OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch 321
Omega has announced a new addition to its iconic Speedmaster collection.
Attention to all watch aficionados around the world!
Omega has announced its latest addition to its iconic Speedmaster collection: The Speedmaster Moonwatch Calibre 321. Originally released in 1957, The Speedmaster range was the first endeavor into chronographs, by the Swiss watchmaker. For Omega, the manual winding Moonwatch is the brand’s pièce de résistance, gaining worldwide recognition in NASA’s groundbreaking Apollo 11 mission as the first watch worn by an astronaut, while walking on the Moon. The Speedmaster to this day remains one of the numerous watches, qualified by NASA for spaceflight.
Fast forward to the present day, The Moonwatch Calibre 321 model in stainless steel is the newest addition to the Speedmaster family. The 39.70 mm stainless steel timepiece features a bezel ring in polished black ceramic with a tachymeter scale in white enamel. Adorning the black dial are the infamous Moonwatch hands encompassed by a small seconds sub-dial with a 30-minute and 12-hour recorder, supporting the central chronograph hand.
As a nod to the past, watch collectors from all over the globe will be excited to see the inclusion of the iconic “Dot over Ninety” and the vintage OMEGA logo, all throughout the design.
