During Frieze New York 2025, Acne Studios deepens its creative partnership with artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase. Through a head-turning new exhibition and capsule collection, they blur the line between fashion and fine art, breeding a new entity.

Known for their expressive exploration of Black identity, queerness, and domestic intimacy, Chase brings a tactile and emotive world to life inside Acne’s Greene Street store, transforming it into a vivid, living installation.

Building on their initial collaboration for the SS25 womenswear show, Chase’s reconceptualized domestic landscape encompasses sculptural reinterpretations of everyday objects – lamps, radios, sinks – imbued with their fluid, emotionally charged aesthetic. This pop-up exhibition runs from May 7 to 11 and marks the debut of Acne Studio’s Loves Jonathan Lyndon Chase, a capsule collection fusing the artist’s signature visuals with Acne’s iconic design language.

The collection features Chase’s visceral figurative illustrations, inspired by personal relationships, printed across long-sleeved and short-sleeved tees, cozy pieces like cushions and blankets, and a reimaged take on the brand’s classic ‘1981’ jeans. Notably, some pieces give the illusion of denim while embracing soft, wearable textures – a nod to Acne Studios’ roots in denim innovation.

This limited-edition collaboration is available exclusively at the Acne Studios Green Street store beginning May 7, with a global release online and in select stores to follow in late June. More than a fashion moment, the project is a heartfelt, visually rich tribute to identity, intimacy, and creative kinship.
