Embracing tradition with a contemporary approach, Acne Studios Fall/Winter 2022 Menswear collection is an innovative mix of silhouettes, textures and color. With inspiration drawn from the nomadic citizenry of northern Sweden, “This collection is about how a language of clothing evolves within communities, mixing and contrasting pieces together,” said Jonny Johansson, Acne Studios creative director. An eclectic and unpredictable mic of texture is explored using a variety of leather, tweeds, crushed velvet, shearling, patchwork brocade, and chunky knits. Combined with longline silhouettes—draping sleeves and high waistlines that play with proportion—the collection appears well-worn yet provides essentials for warmth, protection, and pleasure. With jewelery designed by American artist Jessi Reaves and footwear in collaboration with Swedish brand Kero, this interdisciplinary collection takes a modern, original approach to the codes transient communities.
