On Sunday evening,  Holywood heartthrob Luke Evans took to Instagram to tease that he has a very exciting announcement to make. On tuesday the Welsh movie star announced that he will be dropping a debut album next month.

The album is called At Last and its lead single is titled “Love Is A Battlefield” which drops this Friday. In the IG post, Evans shared a preview of his debut single with behind the scenes footage of the recording process. The video shows Evans in the studio writing and recording, sliced with scenes of him walking in the street. In one of his IG stories, Evans wrote: ‘Been keeping this under wraps but now it’s out! I’ve signed a record deal and I’ve been in the studio recording my first ever album! I’m over the moon!! My first love has always been singing.’

Fans aren’t exactly sure what to expect from the album but Luke confirmed ‘IT’S NOT A SHOW TUNES ALBUM!’ While Evans teased that more information will follow in the next few months, some have speculated that due to its release date it may be a Holiday themed album. However, judging by the style of his lead single, it looks like Evans will go in a different direction.

What is clear is that Evans can definitely carry a tune. He showcased his vocal talents back in 2017, staring as Gaston in the live-action version of Beauty And The Beast.

Luke Evans’s debut album, At Last, will be released November.22.
