Defiant by nature, designer Adam Selman is never one to shy away from pushing the very limits and boundaries society has set in place. For his Spring 2018 collection, Selman chose to take aim at the current political climate and tackle America headfirst by doubling down on his signature motifs, starting with denim. Defined as an American classic, denim has been a longstanding go-to for Selman and on the runway it took the form of indigo overalls, traditional jean jackets, work pants and a glittering finale look comprised of opaque blue sequins.

Next in line, models cascaded down the runway outfitted in quirky rompers, gingham pajamas, dreamy feathered dresses and silky separates. Noticeably new on the runways were daring disco platforms in high-shine metallic shades—Selman’s first foray into footwear. You also couldn’t miss Selman’s ever-so-popular Le Specs sunglasses collaboration that featured a new set of styles.

For Selman, the resistance is alive and well as the humorous designer continues to rebel against the current American ideals with his classically cool spins on fashion. Click below to view the entirety of the collection.
