Adidas And Brock Fetch Collaborate On Winterwear
The latest parka from Adidas centers street photography.
Brock Fetch, a staple in New York City’s skate and music photography scene, has partnered with Adidas to create a functional and fresh winter jacket. The MYSHELTER COLD.RDY Parka follows in the tradition of many “hypebeast” releases. It blends street and fashion. It has complex, print-covered layers. But unlike the typical limited edition drop, this collaboration is as much about practicality as it is about creating a staple wardrobe item.
The jacket features overlapping panels of HyperDRY™ Goose Down that serve to retain heat and block out the cold. There is a focus on storage, so whether you’re carrying photography equipment or your outdoor essentials, the waterproof MYSHELTER pockets have you covered. An insulated hood, elastic wrist cuffs, and large zipper (ideal for glove-covered hands), all show attention to detail. This winter jacket is one that will actually protect from winter weather.
“Brock is an inspiring creator and the insights he brought to the table around his art, his process and his functional needs for outerwear were critical to the final product,” said the Adidas Outdoor team. “We wanted to ensure we met his needs on delivering something that lived beyond hype—it had to be functional and something that people would actually wear.”
This release also comes with a unique, reversible vest displaying three photos captured by Fetch. It can be worn over the parka for additional heat retention and stylistic flair.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the three stripes brand for almost a decade,” said Fetch. “This partnership with adidas Outdoor was a chance to work with a growing category within the brand that I already love.”
The Brock Fetch x MYSHELTER COLD.RDY Parka retails for $400. It will be available for purchase Nov. 6 on the Adidas website.
