Adidas and Wales Bonner Introduce FW26 Collaborative Collection

The capsule pulls from the designer’s archives, celebrating one of fashion’s youngest and most exciting creative partnerships

Sportswear isn’t best known for being luxurious. Mostly built for use, sports clothing and footwear usually compromise fabrication and design for a lightweight feel and function. Yet, in the sportswear space, there are a few labels preserving a tradition of craft, passion, and luxury in their collections. And one of them is Wales Bonner.

After partnering with Adidas about six years ago, the London-based menswear brand is revamping archive pieces for a new capsule. The FW 26 collaborative collection takes sneakers and garments from both Adidas and Wales Bonner’s past, with different silhouettes and palettes, and plays with structure and fabrication.

As mentioned, the collection comprises both footwear and garment lines. For the footwear, the WB Karintha sneaker is treated with a darkening treatment, complemented by crocodile leather and gold brushed eyelets. A similar reconstruction is used on the WB Gazelle Snake, stamped with a green crocodile indentation on the upper’s leather. In the spirit of elevating signature running silhouette’s, this capsule takes the ADIZERO Adios sneaker, and puts it in cream and brown suede.

The apparel is equally elegant. Largely, the collection is built around one piece: a leather blouson in a distinctly Wales Bonner brown. The piece is ornamented with crochet and embossed banding, twisting nuance into the otherwise minimalistic collection. Beside the leather goods, the capsule presents tracksuits, jerseys, and polo football shirts, furthering the thesis of the collaboration: sport and style can always coexist.
