Adidas Skateboarding Releases “Tyshawn Low” Sneaker
The Pro-Skater partners again with Adidas to release a new sneaker to honor his commitment to, and the world of, skateboarding.
At 22, Tyshawn Jones (TJ) has made a name for himself in street skating and become a face for the sport. Following the 2019 debut of the Tyshawn Jones’ signature Pro model, Adidas has partnered with TJ to create and release “The Tyshawn Low” to honor the pro-skater. The Tyshawn Low silhouette sports an updated gold Tyshawn trefoil that pays respect to the roots of skateboarding and represents Jones’ lifestyle.
Tyshawn Jones is the winner of the 2018 Thrasher skater of the year award, and the first native New Yorker to ever win Skater of The Year. Jones has received sponsorships from Supreme, Warby Parker and New Era. Additionally, Jones has founded and opened his own Caribbean fusion restaurant Tastes So Good (make you wanna smack yo mamma) in the Bronx as well as his own skate apparel brand Hardies Hardware.
“The Tyshawn Low is the next stone being placed in the legacy I am trying to leave,” Jones said. “This shoe has motivated me and I hope that it gives people out there the same motivation when they put it on.”
The Tyshawn Low sports a white leather upper with collegiate green stripes and maintains the classic skateboarding aesthetic with a suede toe cap for durability. The shoe’s EVA midsole and inner vulc wrap provide continuous support and high-impact absorption.
The Tyshawn Low comes with a more sustainable moisture-wicking PU sockliner created from recycled materials — keeping with Adidas’ commitment to end plastic waste — that offers breathability and anti-microbial properties.
The Adidas Skateboarding x Tyshawn Low retails for $85 USD and will be available for purchase starting June 26th at the Adidas site and at select specialty skate retailers.
