Adidas x Gucci is Here
The highly anticipated collaboration is finally here.
After debuting the collaboration on the Exquisite Gucci runway in February, the highly anticipated adidas x Gucci line is finally here. Designed by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, the collaboration fuses the two iconic brands together with high fashion sportwear and streetwear.
The collection includes both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, as well as a variety of shoes, bags, accessories, and lifestyle pieces. The two brands came together to create a special logo for the collection, featuring the classic GG monogram and interlocking G mix combined with the adidas trefoil. Standout pieces featuring the logo include a lemon-yellow visor, pink trefoil print shorts, and a brightly colored sun umbrella.
The hybrid collection contains mostly vintage-inspired sporting attire, to further emphasize the cross-brand collaboration between Gucci and Adidas. More formal pieces like heels and loafers have been toned down to continue the casual feel of the collection.
The corresponding campaign for the collection is yet another brainchild of Michele and Art Director Christopher Simmonds, who took inspiration from an archival 1979 adidas catalog. Complete with moving imagery captured by Carlijn Jacobs set against bright backdrops, the campaign features models running, stretching, and dancing to a pensive soundtrack of questions.
Fans of both Gucci and adidas have been pushing for a collaboration for years, and this collection is the culmination of years of research and work. Designed to reflect both brands’ shared commitment to innovation, progress, and sustainability, the collection was crafted with future-conscious materials like polyester and viscose.
The collection will be available at designated Gucci stores, online at Gucci.com, and the adidas CONFIRMED app. Gucci pop-ups at Los Angeles Melrose and South Coast Plaza’s Jewel Court will also showcase the collection in immersive spaces designed to match the campaign and reflect Gucci’s unconventional approach to fashion.
