Danish audio design company AIAIAI and Californian creative collective Brain Dead have just reunited for a second time to release a limited-edition headphone collaboration, celebrating the vibrant musical culture of Los Angeles.

This isn’t just another pair of regular headphones. The award-winning supra-aural Tracks headphones are packed with 40mm speaker drivers, delivering rich, full-spectrum sound with deep bass and crisp high frequencies. Designed with a bold orange colorway and retro-inspired aluminum build, these headphones will awaken the Stanley Kubrick retro-nostalgia inside of you. Fashion trends have always had a recovery, with vintage designs currently back in style.

And for those looking to take their setup to the next level, the release also includes a highly limited run of Unit-4 Studio Monitor speakers, featuring custom Brain Dead design elements and studio-quality, wireless sound—offering uncompromised clarity without the hassle of wires and cables.

To round out the launch, AIAIAI and Brain Dead also hosted an event at Zebulon in Los Angeles, California this past Saturday—featuring live performances by Knumears, Febuary, Sinema, and Kiowa, and showcasing local vendors. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the California Fire Fund to provide support to those affected by the recent fires. A special compilation cassette tape featuring a few of the artist’s performances will be sold for those who couldn’t make it to the venue but still wish to contribute to the cause.

“Innovative design is at the core of AIAIAI,” says Co-Founder Frederik Jorgeson, “so collaborating with a pioneering creative collective like Brain Dead is the perfect match for us.”

This isn’t the first time AIAIAI and Brain Dead joined forces, they previously worked together in 2018 for a Limited Configuration TMA-2 Headphones System. This latest collaboration, however, promises to be another standout.

The limited-edition AIAIAI x Brain Dead Tracks headphones are now available for purchase on January 28th through both brands’ channels and select retailers.
