Alanis Morissette Announces “Jagged Little Pill” Livestream

The special benefit will raise money for The Actors Fund, and feature the Broadway cast from the Jagged Little Pill Musical.

The indie-pinup of 90’s alt-rock, Alanis Morissette is to host a livestream of “Jagged Little Pill” to raise money for The Actors Fund. With the help of the (Jagged Little Pill musical) Broadway cast the singer will perform all of her famous hits for this special event. Released in 1995, Jagged Little Pill is one of Morisette’s most critically acclaimed albums. It sold over 33 million copies worldwide and won her a string of awards.

The album was nominated for nine Grammys and won five, and it’s one of the best-selling albums of all time. The benefit is officially called ‘You Live, You Learn: A Night With Alanis and Jagged Little Pill,’ it’s a Broadway musical adaptation of the hit album. It will feature all of the top tracks including, “Hand in My Pocket”, “Ironic” and “Mary Jane”. The producers of the Broadway musical said, “We give immense thanks to AmEx for giving us the opportunity and for our cast and creative team for keeping the Jagged Little Spirit thriving during this trying time.” Proceeds from the live event will go to the Actors Fund, a relief that offers emergency assistance to professionals in the theater community.

The livestream event is great news for Morissette’s fans. It’s a chance for them to see their idol perform live. Morissette had planned to go on tour this year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill but that has now been postponed until 2021.

The event will take place on May 19, 8 p.m. EDT on Jagged Little Pill‘s Facebook and YouTube channels.
