Former Creative Director of Gucci, Alessandro Michele, starts a new chapter with fashion house, Valentino, as Creative Director to meld Michele’s unique vision with Valentino’s rich legacy. Michelle previously cemented his place in fashion forever by ushering in a new era for Gucci filled with iconic, out-of-the-box designs in his seven years at the brand. His ability to transform a house is unmatched and provides tons of speculation on what great things will come next for Valentino.

“I feel the immense joy and the huge responsibility to join a Maison de Couture that has the word ‘beauty’ carved on a collective story, made of distinctive elegance, refinement and extreme grace,” says Michele. He continues, “My first thought goes to this story: to the richness of its cultural and symbolic heritage, to the sense of wonder it constantly generates, to the very precious identity given with their wildest love by founding fathers, Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti. These references always represented an essential source of inspiration for me, and I’m going to praise such influence through my own interpretation and creative vision.”

Michele’s first collection will be presented during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 and V can’t wait to see what instantly iconic designs come out of it.
