Hollywood, the beaches, the traffic, and the sunshine are what come to mind when most people imagine California. That unmistakable spirit of the Golden State has inspired multimedia artist and writer Alex Israel in his latest creative endeavor with Louis Vuitton: the Woody Wagon Colognes gift set, featuring six fragrances from the Parfums de Cologne collection.

“I’m thrilled to continue exploring my favorite landscape, Los Angeles, on this road trip with Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and Louis Vuitton,” Israel said. “The Woody Wagon has long embodied a certain Californian freedom: surfboard on the roof, family in the back, and the Pacific just over the next hill. In this case, the family is our six Cologne perfumes.”

Designed as a miniature sculptural Woody Wagon, the gift set pays tribute to the iconic wood-paneled station wagon long associated with California, often seen with one or two surfboards strapped to its roof. As a nod to the legendary Route 66, the edition is limited to just 66 pieces, each brought to life by 60 artisans over more than 7,000 hours of craftsmanship.

This small yet elegant Woody Wagon is crafted from semi-aged natural beige leather and mahogany wood, with Louis Vuitton’s Monogram motif engraved on its wooden doors and Monogram flowers adorning its wheels.

The Woody Wagon is not the collection’s only distinctive design. Rather than being housed in conventional bottles, three of the colognes—Sun Song, California Dream, and Afternoon Swim—are presented in travel cases reimagined specifically for each fragrance. Crafted from translucent resin with graduated color effects, each case is finished with the Louis Vuitton Monogram motif across its surface.

The Sun Song blends orange and yellow, evoking a West Coast sunset, while California Dream transitions from deep blue to pink, suggesting dreams becoming reality. Afternoon Swim, meanwhile, features shades of blue reminiscent of the ocean as a surfer dives beneath the waves.

The Woody Wagon gift set is priced at $11,700, while the individual travel cases retail for $1,400 each.
