Alexander McQueen Presents Spring/Summer 2022 Menswear
McQueen’s new collection is a rebirth and newfound appreciation for the imagination and romanticism.
Alexander McQueen‘s latest collection focuses on imagination as a form of escapism. His Spring/Summer 2022 collection is inspired by the English poet, painter and filmmaker William Blake. The collection was shot by photographer Paolo Roversi.
Blake was born in London in 1757. He rose to prominence during the Romantic Period. He is best known for his book Songs of Innocence and Experience.
McQueen’s designs focus on imagination as a form of escapism and centre around lightness, air, water and beauty emerging from darkness.
The collection features tailored cotton, wool, silk and leather pieces. The collection appears fluid and imaginative, bringing a sense of the romantics to modern fashion.
