Las Vegas lit up Sunday night as Sean “Diddy” Combs hosted the 2022 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The show honored 62 categories of artists across all genres of music who topped this years Billboard Charts. Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Megan Thee Stallion, and Machine Gun Kelley were among the lineup of A-list performers, while City Girls, Dixie D’Amelio, Heidi Klum, and Snoop Dogg lead the list of celebrity presenters. Janet Jackson made a surprise appearance, honoring Mary J. Blige with the coveted Billboard Icon Award, a celebration of her success and contributions to the music industry.

The Weeknd led this years nominations as a finalist in 17 categories, with Doja Cat not far behind at 14. Olivia Rodrigo, first-time BBMA finalist, took home the most wins with seven awards — Ye a close second at six awards. Drake culminated an impressive five wins as he holds on to the record of most BBMA’s with 34 in total. Doja Cat and Taylor Swift both secured four wins, as Bad Bunny, Kali Uchis, and BTS all scored two awards.
