Louis Vuitton has unveiled their Spring-Summer 2025 Menswear collection at the iconic UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The show, titled “Triumphus Cosmos,” outweighed traditional fashion presentations, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the mesmerizing runway set-up. As the sun set on June 18th, the gardens turned into a checkered, grassy runway lined with international flags fluttering in the evening breeze. At the heart of the runway stood a large, structured globe made of silver which the models would walk towards and disperse around.

The anticipation was palpable as the first notes of Creative Director Pharrell Williams’ curated soundtrack began to project. The opening piece, a gospel-tinged composition titled “Triumphus Cosmos,” set the tone for the evening and for the first model to descend the runway. As for the recording, the very first shot of the model is twisted upside-down, as if the visual was preparing us to view fashion from an unnatural perspective. As models navigated the intricate maze-like runway, the iconic LV monogram made its presence known, woven seamlessly into the fabric of nearly every look. Structured army jackets paired with cargo pants spoke to a utilitarian aesthetic, while relaxed logo-printed shirts offered a more casual counterpoint. Outerwear took center stage with embellished pieces that married luxury with wearability, embodying the modern man’s need for fashion that adapts to the complexities of contemporary life.

The accessories, always a highlight of any Louis Vuitton show, did not disappoint. Models carried an array of bags—from classic handholds to oversized totes and sleek patterned briefcases. Some even pushed LV’s signature wheeled trunks, a nod to the brand’s focus on travel and international connections.

The collection’s beginning color palette was a study in conformity, dominated by rich shades of black, giving way to a colored abundance of navy, tan, and brown. Splashes of forest green highlighted a militant style, while bold pops of red on jackets and bags captured the audience’s attention. As the show progressed, so did the complexity of the designs. The infamous plaid patterns began to emerge while the LV monogram grew even bolder. Materials evolved too, with crocodile leather making an appearance, adding a touch of opulence to select pieces.

The musical journey mirrored the visual one, transitioning from the opening’s patriotic tones to Clipse featuring John Legend’s soulful “Birds Don’t Sing” and “Falling Up” by Adekunle Gold, featuring Williams and Nile Rodgers. The final song’s lyrics, “Every time they push you down, fall back up,” seemed to encapsulate the collection’s spirit.

As the show reached its crescendo, an explosion of color burst onto the runway. Checkered denim jackets and zip-ups in vibrant yellows, reds, blues, and greens offered a stark contrast to the earlier, more subdued palette. And in a touching finale, Williams’ took his bow, joined by team members wearing shirts emblazoned with “Le monde est à vous” (The world is yours) in French.
