Aminé Celebrates Portland in New Music Video For “Woodlawn”

The latest single from the artist’s sophomore album ‘Limbo’ is paired with energetic, fun visuals.

“Came a long way from that Woodlawn Park / Now young Aminé pushin’ push to start.”

Portland-grown rapper, director, artist and innovative cultural ingenue Amine dropped the official music video for his single “Woodlawn” today, a celebration of all things Black Portland filmed in his hometown.

The 5x Platinum-certified artist delivers yet again (he recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! from a hot air balloon above LA to honor Black Lives Matter) with energetic visuals and undeniable flavor from Portland’s Woodlawn Park. Clips in the co-directed music video cut between the rapper and his friend clad in Limbo merch (including black COVID masks) on his childhood basketball court, local hotspots, ATV stunting and his couch, an oasis in a desert landscape of Portland Trailblazers swag.

A vivid juxtaposition of his Portland life before and after making it big, “Woodlawn” is latest single from his sophomore album Limbo, which released in August to critical acclaim and a Top 20 spot in the Billboard Top 200, plus over 50 million streams to date.

Limbo is a distinctive and diverse statement piece of storytelling and clever punchlines, a soulful musical confession adorned with Aminé’s hypnotic rapping and silky vocals. Watch the “Woodlawn” music video above and stream Limbo on all platforms.
