With AMOMENTO’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection centering itself around the idea of reinterpretation of Art Deco, one of the most popular art forms of the 1910s to the 1930s gets remixed for a new era. Using repetitive lines and symmetric shapes, the brand’s latest offerings take on a new perspective of the art form, expressed in the collection’s title, “I Do (not) Decorate.”
With details of lace and shirring done in impressive volumes, the standout pieces of the collection echo AMOMENTO’s signature minimalism while simultaneously delivering a feeling of tradition that is normally found in western clothing items. Although the title of the collection nods towards an undecorated wardrobe, many of the pieces include hand-knitting, jacquard, and embroidery, as neutral tones of ecru, deep brown, and black are realized in the use of sustainable materials such as organic cotton and vintage wool, with notes of red, navy and green.

For the campaign of the collection, AMOMENTO aimed to paint a vivid picture of winter’s poetic beauty–highlighting details of rosy noses and disheveled hair due to freezing wind on the subjects while puffy coats, layers, and balaclavas keep them warm and stylish.

This frosty, winter collection follows the brand’s exciting pop-up in Paris, which spotlighted three Korean artists for one artful curation that blended seamlessly into the feel of the new ready-to-wear drop. With the artwork of Giseok Kim, Jaewon Lee, and Minjae Song presented in le Marais during Paris Fashion Week alongside the new collection, the pop-up marks an evolutionary step towards the growth of the brand on a global level.
