French luxury fashion house Chloé will be partnering with Atelier Jolie, Angelina Jolie’s new purpose-driven brand, on an exclusive womenswear collection of ready-to-wear pieces. The capsule collection will be the first collaboration for Atelier Jolie with plans to celebrate authentic women-to-women connections as an exercise in modern femininity.

Being the founder of Atelier Jolie is a recent addition to Jolie’s long list of accomplishments, such as actress, filmmaker, former United Nations goodwill ambassador, and special envoy. Jolie launched the creative collective in May of 2023 with plans to facilitate working with creatives globally to gain spotlight for those who deserve it, as well as, an emphasis on sustainability and ethical practices.

In this search for sustainability, Jolie was drawn to Chloé due to Chloé’s B Corp certification. Short for Benefit Corporation, a B Corp certification refers to the legal status and certification awarded to companies that meet specific social and environmental standards, including the company’s impacts on workers, customers, community, and environment throughout its operations. “Very few luxury brands are a certified B Corp,” stated Angelina Jolie. “It was important to me to work with Chloé, one of the first luxury brands to be a B Corp.”

As well as the appeal of both brands’ commitments to improving social and environmental sustainability, this project will be one of the last for Gabriela Hearst, Chloé’s current creative director, who is set to leave the French fashion house after three years, according to reports. “It’s an honor for me that Chloé will be the first collaborator for Atelier Jolie, as both have high ideals for the betterment of our species,” said Gabriela Hearst. “That is the reason why I love both Angelina and Chloé so deeply.”

The collection will be unveiled this fall. Although the totality of the collection is still under wraps, customers can look forward to an eveningwear focus and a timeless aesthetic inspired by pieces from Jolie’s own wardrobe. Parts of the collection will showcase the work of artisans from a Fair Trade enterprise and spotlight female-led social enterprises. “I hope all women will feel comfortable and beautiful in this capsule collection,” said Jolie. “My earnings from this collaboration will be invested in establishing apprenticeships for tailors and artisans at Atelier Jolie.”
