After two, hellishly long years, fashion’s annual celebration of lingerie is returning to NYC with the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018. A meshing of commercial underwear with stunning couture creations, the annual show is a visual extravaganza of ultra-toned bodies, next-to-nothing outfits, and of course, the iconic wings. As show preparation hits maximum level now that we’re within a week of the event, get caught up on the exciting world of VS Fashion Show 2018 news.

The Angels

This year, the total number of models reaches 60, including fan favorites like Angels Elsa Hosk, Lais Ribeiro, Martha Hunt, Romee Strijd, Jasmine Tookes, and Taylor Hill. While legendary angel Alessandra Ambrosio hung up her VS wings after last year’s show in Shanghai, 2018 marks the exciting return of supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid after missing last year. Behati Prinsloo will be back on the runway as well, after missing two shows due to back to back pregnancies. Barbara Palvin will be donning her wings again this year for the first time since 2015. Notably still unconfirmed is Bella Hadid, who has rocked the runway since 2016.

Excitingly, this year marks the first year for newcomer Winnie Harlow, who has all but disrupted the modeling industry with her unique beauty and confidence. In the push for increased diversity on the catwalk, Harlow’s casting in the show demonstrates a step in an inclusive direction for the American lingerie brand.

I had a break down before i walked into the most nerve wrecking casting of my life. I asked my driver to go around the block twice before i could walk into the @VictoriasSecret offices so i could re coup, and remember (while my trainer @bodybymato reminded me on the phone through sobs - thank you lol) how hard I’ve been working! I went in and made new friends and saw old friends and it already felt like home! We patiently waited while @ed_razek @johndavidpfeiffer @monica.mitro @10magazine carefully took time to get to know each girl. When it was finally my time, within my nervous storm of anticipation i changed into a black Victoria Secret set and stepped out!!!! I spoke to them about Jamaica, @nick_knight , my abs, and how i was beyond honoured to be given the opportunity to try out.. then I walked for my life!!!! I can’t believe this!! Thank you for giving me all the energy and kindness in that room! Thank you for allowing me to walk for VICTORIA’S SECRET! Thank you to my agencies @firstaccessent @womenmanagementnyc @women_paris @thesquadmanagement my pr @remibrb my agent @mannyuk and mama bears #sarahstennett & @thelilmisse for having my back supporting and believing in me! I love you guys you’re FAMILY!! Thank you mommy for praying with me everyday for the past 3 days. And thank you so much to my fans who have been pushing me forward to this point in my career. I’m so blessed thank you Lord!! IM WALKING THE VICTORIA’S SECRET SHOW! Thank you Vogue for the exclusive interview 😭🙏🏽💗🙈

The Performers

This year’s lineup of performers is the ultimate pop lover’s dream—from the crush-worthy Shawn Mendes to the wild card that is Halsey. Joining them are Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Kelsea Ballerini, Rita Ora, and the Struts. With some EDM influenced artists along with acoustic, this year's performers balance each other perfectly.

One of our favorite fashion moments every year, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2018 will premiere on ABC at 10 P.M. EST, on December 2nd.
