Another Telfar Drop Came and Went, and Once Hopeful Shoppers are Freaking Out

They say patience is key – and boy is that patience tested whenever Telfar restocks its iconic shopping bags. Famously difficult to get, these vegan leather bags, complete with the signature “T” logo, are stylish, practical, and come in so many colors that they ‘ll match any outfit. That is if you can actually get your hands on one.

The Brooklyn-based label was created by Liberian-American designer Telfar Clemens, who launched the famous shopping bags back in 2017. Since then, it feels like just about everyone is sporting them, including celebrities like Solange, Selena Gomez, and Bella Hadid. And for $150 to $257, you can have your very own Telfar while supporting a Black queer-owned business. It’s a win-win.

The most recent restock, which went down Tuesday at 12 PM EST, literally sold out in seconds. Shoppers didn’t even get a chance to put these babies in their carts before they sold out like hotcakes. It was a comically tragic moment for all, so tragic that Twitter had to fill that aching gap the only way it knows how – memes, and lots of them. Cue the self-deprecating gifs, the relatable TikToks, and the (understandable) blaming of bots and resellers for never giving people the CHANCE.
