Apple & Kode with Klossy Kick off Partnership

Girlboss with Karlie Kloss this summer with the launch of a new coding program in collaboration with Apple.

Summer has only just begun, but supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss has wasted no time further developing her annual summer coding camp for women and non-binary individuals. This week marks Kode with Klossy’s 7th summer – the first in-person camp in 2 years – and the launch of new opportunities in collaboration with Apple.

Kloss’ nonprofit organization has been working with Apple since 2017 to bring coding and creativity opportunities to young women and non-binary developers and creators. Building on the long-term partnership, a new program for KwK scholars comes to life in New York City as part of Apple’s “Today at Apple Creative Studios” initiative. For the first time ever, Kode with Klossy will be offering an AI/ML summer camp using Apple technology and innovation.

To celebrate the launch of this exciting new program, dozens of young entrepreneurs, coders, and leaders – all Kode with Klossy scholars – gathered at the Forum at Apple SoHo, and had the chance to meet and hear from Karlie Kloss herself. Kloss shared stories of the inspiring ways Kode with Klossy alumni have used their knowledge to make a dent in the universe, with the help of Apple technology. Apple’s CEO and Kode with Klossy supporter Tim Cook also made an appearance to share how impressed he was with the projects, and emphasized the power of coding.

“To all of you scholars in the audience, you represent the future, not just of Kode With Klossy, not just of the technology industry, but of society and humanity. I’ve seen your Kode With Klossy applications and you are some of the most passionate, determined and incredible young people I’ve ever come across. Keep pursuing your dreams, keep learning and growing, and go out there and conquer the world together!” Kloss proclaims to her audience of young scholars.
