Arca Will Remix Lady Gaga’s “Rain On Me”

We all anticipate Arca’s appearance on Lady Gaga’s Chromatica remix album

It’s rumored that Arca will appear on Lady Gaga’s Chromatica remix album – now, it’s confirmed! Announcing on Discord, Arca told fans that the remix will be released on August 20, 2021.

“The rain on me remix which samples my songs time and mequetrefe also includes a sample by my favorite changa tuki aka raptor house producer dj yirvin, an iconic song called mételo sácalo,” the musician said, following the message “the remix is out august 20.”

The announcement is short but informational. So far, we have a clear picture of Arca’s remix of “Rain On Me”: it will feature two songs from her fourth album KicK i, and draw from Changa Tuki, a lifestyle, dance, and music genre derived from electronic music that originated in Caracas, Venezuela in early-1990, including a sample from DJ Yirvin.

“Rain On Me” is one of the most acclaimed songs from Gaga’s sixth studio album, Chromatica. After the debut at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100, it became Gaga’s fifth and Grande’s fourth US number-one single in the country. It topped the charts in 13 other countries and also charted within the top ten in more than 50 territories.

After Bloodpop, one of the main producers of Chromatica, implied a potential remix album for Chromatica earlier this year, singers including Rina Sawayama, Grimes, Charli XCX, Bree Runway, Shygirl, and Dorian Electra have confirmed appearances on the record. Now, with Arca on board, the album is even more appealing.
