Marking a shift in energy, AREA RTW 03 launches in a whirlwind of femininity and power. Designers Beckett Fogg & Piotrek Panszczyk launch the Pre-Fall collection with the idea of dressing up in mind. 

“After dressing down for a year, we felt the urge to dress up again,” say the designers. “At AREA every day is an occasion, and with this collection we’ve taken that approach to wardrobe staples. The mundane and familiar has been reworked into exciting alternatives, and previous codes have become more playful and inviting.”

Showcasing the collection with well-known faces such as Alek Wek, Lindsey Wixon, Precious Lee and more, director Ethan James Green shot the looks atop a 25-story midtown Manhattan rooftop, bringing the essence of going out in the city into one perfect display.

Plaid suit sets with boxy blazers and elongated trousers or shorts are adorned in jewels in pink or tan within the collection, standing out even more with heart cut-outs and hand-embroidered crystals. Combining the hard-edge of an ultra-femniine look meeting 80’s Brit punk.

Crystals continue to have their moment in AREA’s RTW 03 collection with their crystal chain tops and dresses, draping delicately across the body in a web of intricate layers and patterns. 

Not limited to the body, crystals also adorn the head and neck and ears through a series of different structures of earrings and headpieces, including hoops and drop-down pieces creating a bang-like effect.

Denim also debuts within the collection with crystal embellishments on a pair of high-cut shorts or straight-leg denim, perfectly adorned with a heart stitched on the backside for a side of feminine fun. 

Fogg and Panszczyk embrace the shifting of energy in the air right now through this collection, allowing the essence of New York City and urban space to be perfectly encapsulated in a single garment.
