Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, and Megan Thee Stallion Have a Slumber Party in “34+35 (Remix)” Music Video

It’s a night of shenanigans and room service for the trio

I’m sure that over the trials and tribulations of quarantines, it’s been nigh impossible to achieve anything close to a perfect girl’s night/day. Well, as the old saying goes, if you can’t live it yourself, might as well live it vicariously through Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, and Megan Thee Stallion.

The trio has dropped the music video for their collaboration on Grande’s “34+35” remix. This release follows the first music video that was dropped for the original “34+35,” a science-experiment-gone-wrong clip where Grande and a series of lab scientists transform into Austin Powers-eque fembots.

While this second version isn’t as plot heavy, there’s no shortage of intrigue. Directed by Stefan Kohli, it sees a grainy, found footage-style Grande, Doja, and Stallion enjoying a lush day by the pool, with magazines, lingerie, and champagne. As room service carts and swans (yes, swans, actual birds) make their way into the video, you can tell they’re in a motel. The video continues as each singer gets on their part as they party in their bedroom, order room service, and record home videos of each other on a camcorder. There’s also a dalmatian, did I mention?

It’s that perfectly effervescent with a touch of sexual liberation that the song itself embodies. The addition of Doja and Stallion livens things up considerably, even boosting the song to become Grande’s second American top three hit from the album following the title track, “Positions.”
