Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa – these are just some of the female pop stars who’ve dropped new albums in the midst of the global pandemic, giving their fans some respite. Now, Ariana Grande is soon looking to join their ranks with her new studio effort coming later this month.

On Wednesday, Grande tweeted, “i can’t wait to give u my album this month.” The tweet quickly blew up, getting over a million likes (as of writing). This will be Grande’s sixth studio album and her first since last year’s Grammy-nominated Thank U, Next and its predecessor, the Grammy-winning Sweetener.

Grande previously teased that she was working on new material when she tweeted a snippet from a song  in September. The five-second snippet could now be seen as presumably a track from the upcoming album. She has since continued to mention her work in the studio.

The album will be Grande’s first solo release of 2020. She’s already had two number one hits this year, after collaborating with Lady Gaga on Rain on Me and Justin Bieber on Stuck with U.
