Armani, Cate Blanchett, V & VMAN’s Stephen Gan, and the Ties that Bind

A guest list spanning cinema, fashion, and culture convened inside Palazzo Armani for one of the week’s most coveted dinners

Following the unveiling of Silvana Armani’s Boudoir collection, the house hosted an intimate dinner inside Palazzo Armani to close out the evening. Bud vases filled with deep burgundy peonies and tulips lined the length of the table alongside crisp white place settings, gold-rimmed glassware, and low silver reading lamps. The effect was softer and more domestic than a typical runway send-off, echoing the intimate world of Boudoir introduced just hours earlier.

Cate Blanchett, a longtime ambassador for the house, sat at the center of the Armani Privé dinner table, still in the black-and-white velvet suit she had worn to the show earlier that evening. Beside her was Stephen Gan, editor-in-chief and creative director of V Magazine and VMAN. Blanchett had previously been featured in V100, wherein she was shot by Inez & Vinoodh as a part of “The New Alphabet” series. The evening was an intimate reminder that while collections come and go, the relationships built around them are often what leave the most lasting impression (see here for some of V’s history with Armani).

The runway presentation itself also drew a distinguished guest list, including Rosamund Pike, Anna Wintour, Lou Doillon, Li Bingbing, Laura Harrier, Cindy Bruna, Lyna Khoudri, Marisa Berenson, Zita d’Hauteville, Chopard’s Caroline Scheufele and Talia Yan, Paris Opera étoile Hugo Marchand, and pianist Ludovico Einaudi with Paola Dallolio.
