Balthazar Getty, most recently seen in the successful remount of Twin Peaks as the character Red, is branching out from his usual field and set to launch his very own creative space. "I've never been the type of artist to limit myself to one creative outlet. I'm an artist and give myself the freedom to express my energy as different mediums and crafts." Having a substantial acting career under his belt, the artist has turned his focus to music, most recently with his newest project Balt Getty, an infectious, genre-bending R&B-meets-electronic sound.

"I've been Dj-ing for quite a bit of time now and the power that role has on setting the mood or vibe of a space is something I've always been attracted to. There's an enormous amount of satisfaction that comes with making a room simply groove together, even though not every individual is necessarily focused on listening to music in that moment."

Getty's newest adventure comes full circle with the launch and development of his agency PurpleHaus' new space opening. "It's going to be a place that hosts and supports music, design, and apparel. PurpleHaus is the face of my creative headspace and is a place for work to simply exist. Whether it's acting as a pop-up shop or gallery, a music venue or a collaborative studio, the goal is to create and celebrate the creation of work."

This Saturday, June 9th, PurpleHaus will be hosting it's official kick-off event promising music, art, and merchandise and apparel galore. Check out Balt Getty's music below, and stay tuned for more information about the undisclosed site, and coverage from the sure-to-be rager!
