Artist Reneé Rapp Fronts Stella McCartney’s Falabella Campaign

A heritage design shaped by contrast—where soft structure meets sculptural edge

Stella McCartney remembers her childhood time in the British countryside, having been raised by her photographer mother, who was a vegetarian and animal-rights activist. There, she developed her lifelong love of horses, with the Falabella among her favorite breeds. Now named after the iconic Stella McCartney handbag, the Falabella series launches a new campaign featuring singer and actress Reneé Rapp.

Diamond-cut chain and slouchy body craft the Falabella bag, teeming with a playful contrast of hard and soft. The iconic silhouette has been handmade, cruelty-free in Italy, since its debut in Winter 2009. The same thoughtfulness continues to thread through the vegan fabric and aluminum chain of every Fold-Over Tote and Drawstring Crossbody, rendered in colorways of soft blue, silver metallic, and sleek black.

While preserving the Italian artisan’s craftsmanship, the new campaign signals a fresher approach through Rapp. The rising star, known for her Broadway-trained, powerful voice, broke out with her role as Regina George in the Mean Girls musical and as Leighton Murray in HBO’s The Sex Lives of College Girls (2021-2025). These days, she’s been busy on tour, recently wrapping the European leg of her Bite Me Tour in March. Come summer, Rapp will be back on stage, powering through festival performances across Belgium and Spain.

The Falabella bag is now available to shop via the Stella McCartney website and in select boutiques.
