Rick Owens was inspired by his Mexican heritage for his Spring 2020 collection, which took place outside of the Palais de Tokyo during Paris Fashion Week. Owens was raised in California, but his mother is Mexican, and the collection was titled Legend of Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl, which references the myths and mysteries surrounding these volcanoes in Mexican culture. Models wore elaborate headpieces, strong silhouettes in yellows, reds and golds, as well as receding hairlines.
