Bad Bunny Takes A Splash In New Jacquemus Campaign

The reggaeton singer stars in his first fashion campaign with the French house.

Latinos, este es para ustedes. Photographed in Vogue just last month, Bad Bunny hasn’t stopped yet, and certainly has no plans to. Announced this week, the reggaeton singer has been named as the new face of the Jacquemus campaign, “Le Splash”–another first for him to add to his résumé.

Over the past few years, Bad Bunny, also known as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has taken the music industry by storm. In December, he was named Spotify’s most streamed artist for the second year in a row, and has a nearly sold-out world tour starting in North America around early August. But even though he is beloved for his charming personality and sensual music, the singer is also admired for mix-and-match style that defies gender norms. For the 2018 Super Bowl, Bad Bunny donned a sequin silver jacket, then a plaid pleated skirt for his 2020 “Yo Perreo Solo” music video. With all of his success, it is no wonder why Jacquemus selected him for their newest collection. Bad Bunny is all about individuality, inclusivity, and most of all, Latin pride–everything needed to shoot the playful and ethereal energy of a Jacquemus campaign.

From the poolside accessories to the Miami location, the campaign embodies the singer’s grandiose style and Jacquemus’ Mediterranean aesthetic. Shot by Tom Kneller and styled by Zoey Radford Scott, the campaign captures Bad Bunny in head-to-toe Jacquemus, wearing the brand’s iconic suits and vibrant baguette-style bags. He is also photographed nude on a jet-ski, riding a pair of roller skates and wearing a hot pink mini dress with baby blue heels. In some of the campaign’s photos, Bad Bunny is seen hosing himself down with a water hose–on par with the name of the collection.

Jacquemus’ upcoming collection will be revealed on the brand’s website. View the campaign with Bad Bunny below.
