Balenciaga Announces Capsule Collection in Support Of Breast Cancer Research

Ten percent of proceeds from the capsule collection will be donated towards funding breast cancer research methods.

Balenciaga is releasing their Spring ‘21 collection in stores and online on October 1, including the We Are Pink capsule collection to support breast cancer prevention research within it.

A series of unisex products including jewelry and ready-to-wear clothing emblazoned with a looped pink ribbon—the universal symbol for breast cancer awareness—,the We Are Pink capsule will donate 10% of its proceeds to help fund a research program at Institut Curie, France’s leading cancer center. The program is aimed at showing the utility of an early breast cancer relapse detection method by evaluating circulating tumor DNA via a simple blood draw, potentially saving lives.


Clothing from the Balenciaga We Are Pink capsule includes hoodies, long-sleeves, and t-shirts stamped with the breast cancer ribbon and the slogan “WE ARE PINK” above a Balenciaga logo.

Through proceed contributions, social messaging, and raising awareness, Balenciaga hopes to positively impact the world and the many lives on it. With We Are Pink, the label hopes to shift attention towards an important topic.
