Balenciaga’s women’s and men’s Winter 2026 collections, dreamt up by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, take their essence from the High Renaissance technique of clair-obscur, which allows for a search between light and dark.

Light draws out different forms, colors, shapes, and redefining features. Across the women’s and men’s collections, supple leather, dense cashmere, silk, and sequin embroideries appear, while the garments remain modern through shape and volume.

Fashion is treated as a reflection of the contemporary world—of both the wardrobes of people and the people themselves.

“I am deeply interested in people, in the narratives they carry, in the complexintertwining paths that shape their lives. In their stories. This has always informedand shaped my work, my creative approach. I am drawn tofragility andimperfection, because that is where I recognize authenticity and beauty of life,” said Piccioli.

The collection spans across phosphorescent intensity, hues of strength and power, radiance, and emerging shadows. Throughout this presentation, different generations walk together in clothes that symbiotically fuse them as a collective power, as a collective light.
