The new Balenciaga shoe is named after early tracking technology. When conceptualizing the Radar Sneaker, Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli was inspired by agility, legacy, and awareness. The shoe’s ultra-lightweight, streamlined design promotes intuitive movement.
Featuring a slender silhouette, The Radar displays a 3B sport icon and Balenciaga’s signature exposed shoe size. It’s one of Piccioli’s first footwear designs for the House.

The shoe also comes in a Ballerina style, an even slimmer, low-cut iteration. The Ballerina conveys effortless movement, flexibility, and agility. It’s a break from the bulky sneaker silhouettes often associated with the House. Despite this, The Radar doesn’t miss out on stylistic details—a double lacing system loops around the outsole and threads through the upper and grip, contouring the shoe to the body.
The sneaker pre-launched online and in select Balenciaga stores at the end of February 2026, but an expanded colorway selection and increased availability can be expected in mid-March. The Radar comes in both men’s and women’s styles.
White, grey, and silver colorways offer universal wearability, while a purple and pink iteration stands out against neutrals. Designed for responsiveness, both the Ballerina and traditional styles connect the wearer to their surroundings. By providing ease and comfort, The Radar promotes confidence and everyday elegance.
