Balenciaga Unveils New Fragrance Collection
The luxury house revives its historic perfume for a modern audience

Balenciaga has released its new collection of ten fragrances designed in the style of the house’s original Le Dix perfume. With naming referencing the salon and atelier’s original address, Balenciaga’s first fragrance was created 75 years ago and was rediscovered by the Maison’s archivists. The collection’s clear bottles exude elegance and are topped with a glass globe, and the bottle’s black labels feature white block-lettering inspired by the original perfume.

Other fragrances within the collection serve as odes to the Maison’s history, including the Cristóbal, a scent inspired by Balenciaga’s founder featuring oud, patchouli and oak moss. The Getaria is named for Cristobal Balenciaga’s birthplace, and like the coastal town, it enlivens with salty character found through notes of bright citrus and pink peppercorn.

Made in France, the collection’s ten fragrances together create a stunning spectrum of color ranging from nearly clear with the No Comment to the rich opaque of Incense Perfumum. In addition to individual bottlings, the full collection can be purchased as a bottled set or as vials within the Discovery Box. For now, the fragrance can be found at the Maison’s historic location in Paris—at 10 Av. George V.—as well as other Balenciaga stores across North America and Europe.
