On July 17th, 2025, a provocative exploration of couture clientele through the lens of celebrated photographer Juergen Teller jumped onto everyone’s radar. Reimagining his iconic series The Clients, Teller, alongside his wife and creative partner Dovile, crafted a series of raw and intimate portraits and videos set within the grand interiors of a hotel in Biarritz to bring us Balenciaga’s Winter 25 Campaign. 

Brand ambassadors Nicole Kidman and Isabelle Huppert appear alongside icons like Claudia Schiffer, actors Patrick Schwarzenegger and Arthur Chen, and top models Liu Wen, Adut, and Roxane. Each subject radiates the eclecticism of Balenciaga’s Winter 25 Collection, styled in a layered mix of couture silhouettes and streetwear-inflected staples, including pieces from the Balenciaga X PUMA collaboration. The garments create a contrast against the opulent stairwells, suites, and salons of the hotel, an intentional tension that Teller’s signature unfiltered aesthetic heightens.

A short film directed by Teller accompanies the campaign, offering behind-the-scenes insights and commentary from the photographer himself, who muses on the spontaneity and honesty of his process.

The campaign also includes striking still-life images spotlighting the season’s accessories. Key handbags include waxed-suede updates of the Rodeo and Le City Bag, the Carrie Carry-All in sesame, a shearling-lined Le City, and a vibrant pink croc-embossed Rodeo. Footwear is equally diverse: the Shibuya Pump merges athletic elements with a classic pump shape, while the Hamptons Sneaker and Bel Air Flat Ballerina offer elevated comfort.

With this campaign, Balenciaga continues to push the boundaries of luxury fashion, storytelling, and collaboration.
